Born of an illegitimate partnership between lowborn parents into a highly stratified Ishgard, Ionel was not afforded an overabundance of opportunity in his early life. Childhood in the harsh snowfields of Coerthas is often short and brutal, and Ionel’s upbringing proved to be no exception. Following the path of many others in similar circumstances, he took up the life of a squire, eventually to serve as a House Knight to Honoré, a lower house of little import. Many years were spent toiling as a rank and file soldier of the Dragonsong War, and embroiled in the machinations of lower house politics.This chapter in his life ended abruptly and without note in the grander scope of history. With the upheaval brought by the close of the Dragonsong, the trials and tribulations of the humble House Honoré were easily overshadowed, left to fall into ruin and obscurity. Dark rumors circulated for a time, and even those whispers faded as gossip was quick to move on to more pressing matters.While disinclined to speak of past at any length, Ionel is not entirely evasive, though often falls back on a reserved formality around strangers as a force of habit. He has not elected to take up allegiance with a new house after leaving the service of the fallen House Honoré, and in fact seems to have all but completely withdrawn from his homeland. Either incapable or unwilling to settle, his listless wandering often finds him in the dense woodlands of The Black Shroud or the countryside of Coerthas.

Ishgardians, especially those that served might recognize Ionel. He was at one time an active participant in tourneys put on by the Holy See, but preferred not to draw undue attention to himself.
Those more keenly tuned in to the inner workings of lesser houses may have heard disturbing rumors of illness and madness plaguing House Honoré, some number of years ago. Wanderer of the woods. Known to offer services to local conjurers, tradespersons of the Twelveswood, and travelers. Still something of a reclusive oddity, and likely not on overly familiar terms with those he has dealings with.

I'm terribly slow at putting together character profiles and this page is still a WIP
IC=/=OOC. A character's views do not reflect my own. I'm all for IC conflict, but I won't tolerate ooc drama or bigotry, bleed, metagaming, harassment, etc. Good communication is key.
21+, not looking to interact with minors in or out of character. I enjoy a variety of themes in rp, some of the main on centered around this character include: horror, religious trauma, survivor's guilt, the destructive nature of cyclic vengeance, and more. A lot of character details are purposefully sparse on this page, because I prefer organic character development as things are revealed through RP. I'm really not interested in senseless ERP, so please don't approach me if that is your sole focus.
I'm lore-abiding, tend to stick to a fairly grounded style, and looking to interact with people writing with a similar framework in mind. No WoL, overpowered characters, overly lore-breaking subjects, etc.
In terms of style, I’m fairly flexible and tend to mirror. I don’t really have expectations of “matching” posts, and would rather keep the flow of a scene going over trying to maintain a word count requirement.
